" I am Sorry !!!!!!! " ..... A cliche in controversy today !!!!
"Maa mujhe maaf kar do" ... " Har din ek dua mangti hoon ... ke shayad ek din tum mujhe maaf kardo" ... " I am sorry". These dialogues from the classical hindi cinemas to the very famous Jab tak hey jaan. Ranging from Pulp fiction to that of Godfather, these phrase has been in the picture and is repeatedly heard in quite a different yet powerful ways. This has been the glue to many relations and bonding between hero-heroins in various hindi movies as well as overseas. Is this only a mere dialogue ?? Is this a monotonous and a lousy colloquy or does it really have a strong sense of emotion beholding with every letter ??
A girl today simply breaks up with a boy with a classical cliche, " I am sorry, its not working anymore". Highly corrupted politician confesses with a sorry. A school boy, " Sorry mam, I forgot to do the homework", and a true disciple, "Sorry bhagwan mujhsey galti hogayi". These all remarks, do they really hold the strength of commitment and truth which they once carried in our like pre-historic period, the truth lies on our face is, NO. Today its changed, its just a byword to get away from a punishment, from a breakup and from quarrels. The person with a true sense of guiltiness is succumbed and downtrodden even if he is apologizing from his true senses. Is this because of growing technology and leaving people behind, or is the transition of peoples mind and dying of so called emotions and vehemence. The love, lust, infatuation, likeness and trust are all dangling on the pin's tip and they are broken by a setback which is honestly irrevocable even when this old chestnut is employed. The people have transformed to the stereotypes and the place for emotions are dying and these phrases are becoming just jargons.
In the midst of our complicated and complex struggle for survival, there lies a small hidden baby which is in search of comfort and compassion, but this is all vanished because of disbelief and distrust. The reincarnation of such hope is all lost and the only thing which was the elixir for such longitude is all buried underground in the age of dinosaurs. The gravity of situation is not in the mind or in the heart but its evolving to the era of 1's & 0's. This is certainly the most used cliche in the present 21st century losing its credibility exponentially. Soon there will be a time when somebody will say, " I am sorry" and the reply will be, "WHAT ??"
